Sierra + Dustin Wedding | Marrara's Mountain Lodge
This wedding season kicked off unlike any other. Usually April or May comes around and BOOM we are off! This wedding season was more of a pitter patter, and I didn't really know if it would get to us or not. After a lot of emails, phone calls, contingency dates, and a lifting of Centre County's Covid-19 regulations, it got here! We had our first regularly-scheduled and arranged wedding on June 6th! Meet Sierra and Dustin!
I attended high school with Sierra, but it wasn't until last year when she was a part of Kayte and Walt's wedding that I got to catch up with her. She was engaged! Fun fact, she and Dustin started dating after he went to prom with Kayte! These two have been together since 2012! Also, they are FREAKING AMAZING!
After all these years together, I was so glad that they got to keep their date. Early June came and their wedding happened right after Centre County lifted their at home orders! The wedding was in the clear, and we were a go! We couldn't wait to celebrate with them!
The day of their wedding was seriously perfect! The sun was out and there were just enough clouds for a second of shade and an almost constant breeze. Sierra's Dad welcomed us into Mararra's Mountain Lounge where, when we entered, we looked in awe of all the decorations that the families put together for the big day! Navy blue table clothes were decorated with welcome gifts, flowers, and hand sanitizer (a common table decoration in 2020) while white tulle and strung lights draped from the chandeliers above.
Families gathered outside of the cabin at the gazebo for their ceremony. Sierra and Dustin's day was full close friends and family, many happy tears, and so many laughs. I don't think I have ever laughed as hard as we did during their portrait session! Sierra and Dustin's joy is so contagious, you can really tell that they are best friends.
Surrounded by their closest friends and families, Sierra and Dustin decided on forever!

When I was meeting Sierra's sister in the beginning of the day, I looked at her and thought to myself, "How do I know this girl?" Not long after, Haley pointed out that I had recently taken her photos at a Penn State Headshot event! We LOVE these sisters!
In every one of Catherine's photos, Dustin was looking at Sierra like this! It warmed my heart! Their smiles are so sweet and genuine!
Dustin squeezed Sierra so tight here that they hurt their wrists (nothing serious) but It made us laugh a lot! Catherine and I loved how easily these two made each other (and us) laugh!
Dancing with a mask was a first for me, but MAN I honestly cold have done it all night with this crew! Thank you for letting us join you on the dance floor! This was such a wonderful return to group gatherings.
