Sal + Abbie Highlight | Rolling Rails Lodge

This was the type of wedding that was hard to leave. The type of wedding that you wished you could have met ALL the family members. A wedding that, when I explained it to my mom the next day, I regretted not knowing Italian. If I had known Italian, I could have actually talked to Sal's Nonna. I didn't know what she was saying to me, but our conversation was so fun!

These are still frames from the video, but to see Abbie and Sal's wedding photos, check out Jana Scott's beautiful work! Anytime I get to work with her is truly a pleasure!

Abbie and Sal are reflections of their families. From our first conversation, I could tell that Abbie was such a sweet girl. Having worked with her mom in high school, I wasn't surprised to learn this. Every conversation about the wedding was filled with joy, excitement, anticipation, and gratitude. Once we met Sal and his family, we noticed a similar vibe.

Sal and Abbie met while interning at General Motors in Detroit, MI in the summer of 2012. Their friendship lasted all summer, and continued into the fall when Abbie went back to Penn State and Sal went back to Southern Illinois University. They began dating that year, after Sal visited Abbie at Penn State to attend her Winter Formal.

This wedding was filled with love and excitement for Abbie and Sal. They have been together for the past 7 years, and you can tell that they have already grown to be a big part of each others' families, but I'll leave that part for the feature film. For now, enjoy their highlight video below!

Abbie and Sal, my favorite part of the day was hearing and seeing the two of you talk about each other. The things you love about one another are beautiful, and I hope last a lifetime. More so, I hope that when you talk about each other, your faces light up with excitement the way that they did on your wedding day. You two make a wonderful couple, and we were truly honored to have the opportunity to capture your special day and a love like yours.

Thank you to this amazing team of wedding vendors who made our job so much more enjoyable, and kept the day running smoothly! We really appreciate you all!
